Recently a collegue of mine on the MashedIn team was relating some feedback he had received during a conversation in a bar.
Clearly there are some obvious benefits to gathering user feedback over a casual drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and the conversations flow freely.
There is also a very important side benefit that is sometimes not so obvious. That is, typically you aren’t carrying around your laptop when out on the town for some brews. For this reason the demo of a product is likely going to happen on a mobile device. Great! What could be better? It is a chance to ensure the pages show up properly as well as it opens up the feedback to the possibilities presented by mobile in general and in particular geo location. It is all too easy to overlook the mobile experience during structured testing it seems.

Thanks to Michael Charles for the conversation image.
